State of the Arts,” it highlights Saxony as one of the world’s top cultural destination, focusing on arts, culture and city breaks, wellness and active travel. Dresden, Leipzig, Meissen, Chemnitz, Bautzen and Goerlitz are treasure troves of classical music, art, exquisite art and jewels, sculpture, castles and gardens. The Society of American Travel Writers Foundation (SATW Foundation), a nonprofit founded in the early 1980s, strives to support, celebrate and sustain travel journalism by recognizing and rewarding efforts in this highly competitive field. The Foundation’s Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition, open to travel journalists from around the world, honors works in more than two dozen categories, including print, digital, audio, video and photography. Entries are judged by an accredited U.S. university, and winners are selected from among hundreds of submissions and announced at SATW’s convention.

SATW is the nation’s premier professional travel media organization comprising 1,000 of the travel industry’s most experienced journalists, photographers, editors, broadcast/video/film producers, bloggers, website owners, media relations experts and hospitality industry representatives from the United States, Canada and beyond. VKLarson is currently the external communications manager for SATW.

Greenwood Gardens is a non-profit 28-acre historic site and public garden in Short Hills, New Jersey. A far cry from crowds and a peaceful oasis, Greenwood invites the public to take self-guided tours of this graceful property with terraced gardens, woodlands, grottoes, fountains, Arts and Crafts follies, winding paths, sculptures, urns and gates that date back to the early 20th century. We have worked with and completed projects on behalf of a number of clients, including The Wassaic Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that uses art and arts education to foster positive social change; Innisfree Garden, a garden in the Hudson Valley with extraordinary midcentury design; the Austrian Tourism Board and their colleagues from the Tirol celebrating 200 Years of the famous Christmas song Silent Night in New York City.
